Emmanuel Kwesi Padi

Emmanuel Kwesi Padi is a renewable energy executive and electrical engineer with over a decade and a half of experience delivering solar photovoltaic (PV), hybrid energy systems, and mission-critical electrical infrastructure across commercial, industrial, and utility-scale environments.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Ghana, and a Commonwealth Executive Master of Business Administration (CEMBA) from KNUST. He is currently pursuing a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Sustainable Energy Engineering at Simon Fraser University, Surrey, British Columbia, Canada, with advanced specialization in renewable energy systems design, grid integration, energy storage technologies, and low-carbon infrastructure development.

This blend of engineering training, executive management education, and advanced sustainable energy specialization positions Emmanuel at the intersection of technical execution, commercial delivery, and energy-transition strategy.

As Group Director, Sustainable Energy Services at CIPA Holdings Group, Emmanuel leads the Group’s clean energy execution and operational platform. He is responsible for engineering governance, technical standards development, quality assurance and commissioning frameworks, lifecycle performance management, and delivery optimization across CIPA’s renewable energy portfolio. His mandate ensures that projects are technically de-risked, compliant with international standards, and structured to meet lender and DFI requirements from feasibility through long-term operation.

Over the course of his career, Emmanuel has led and supervised the design and installation of more than 50MWp of solar PV systems across diverse grid environments and hybrid configurations. His expertise spans load profiling, energy modeling, system simulation, inverter and battery energy storage integration, detailed engineering design, site supervision, commissioning oversight, and post-installation performance optimization. He has also implemented ERP-based engineering and QA/QC systems that strengthened documentation control, cost discipline, and execution transparency across multi-site portfolios.

He has worked closely with EPC contractors, independent power producers, regulators, and commercial clients to deliver high-availability energy systems aligned with IEC and IEEE standards. His experience includes feasibility assessments, technical due diligence support, regulatory coordination, grid interconnection processes, and long-term asset optimization.

At CIPA, Emmanuel is institutionalizing a disciplined Sustainable Energy Services platform; embedding ESG-aligned engineering practices, strengthening internal technical capacity, standardizing execution systems, and ensuring that CIPA’s energy projects are scalable, bankable, and operationally resilient.

His leadership reinforces CIPA’s positioning as a technically credible, execution-focused, and climate-aligned infrastructure platform capable of delivering high-performance energy assets that meet the expectations of governments, institutional investors, and development finance partners across Africa.
