Our History

Building Africa’s Sustainable Infrastructure Platform

Founded over a decade ago, CIPA Holdings Group began as a renewable energy and advisory firm with a clear mission: to accelerate Africa’s transition toward clean energy and sustainable infrastructure. From the outset, CIPA was designed to operate at the intersection of development ambition, finance, and execution.

In its early years, CIPA focused on solar electrification and decentralized energy solutions, supporting schools, clinics, and underserved communities with reliable, clean power. As regional engagement deepened, the platform evolved, expanding into public infrastructure, industrial energy solutions, digital systems, and climate-aligned project development.

Over time, CIPA transitioned from a single-sector operator into a multi-sector infrastructure development and investment platform, structuring projects that integrate energy, infrastructure, finance, and inclusive growth.

The Group has worked with governments, private investors, and development partners to design bankable projects, unlock climate finance, and deliver solutions that support job creation, local capacity, and long-term resilience.

Today, CIPA operates across West, East, and Southern Africa, with a growing portfolio spanning renewable energy, industrial infrastructure, digital enablement, and sustainable investment advisory. Its evolution reflects a disciplined, partnership-driven approach grounded in local realities, informed by global best practice, and anchored in strong governance.

The Group’s work and leadership have received regional and international recognition, including features in Forbes Africa spotlighting CIPA’s role in advancing Africa’s green transition and innovative infrastructure financing models.
